Suggestion to bring back presearing
I think there should be an option to go back to presearing once you beat the game
I wish they made presearing a place and not a time frame.
Its such a pretty place and it makes the game fun to play, the post searing is bleek and ugly, bleh
I want my pre sear back

yes,pre searing is very nice.i made a monk and plane to stay there until i get 0xp from the charr.at least after you beat the first 4 missions and drive back the charr, ascalon should recover or something.maybe an 8 person mission where you had to defeat the charr army.

you gotta be kidding...I think the only reason anyone would wanna go back is so they can get or buy black dyes off the noobs for super cheap. After I created a couple characters, I would hurry up and do all the skill quests and get the hell out of there!

thats actually something i thought about myself, and im sure others have as well. you leave and save the world, but what about ascalon? i want a green regent valley again dammit. maybe another time frame is the answer, you know, like a post-post searing?
anyways, i agree with the op, i want a green place that isnt a jungle with evil spiders to run around in.

i know what you mean....have you ever run about in the over the wall area and looked at where you can actually get to..theres loads of it...
and, has anyone ever taken down that Charr guy that uses the Flame thing to bring about the searing?
surely, there could be a way to do an alternate reality/timeline version.
say, sentback through time a group of 8 hardy and acended idividuals, take out the Charr flame guy and save all of ascalon!
from then on, you could have the choice of Sered Realm or Green Realm. one is the same map we are all used to, full of holes and stuff. the other is the map as it would have been. with no charr, but different enemies and vilans and people that died in the Seared Realm are still alive

I have killed all the charr around a flame stand i found however i am sure that i have seen another one elsewhere in the northlands so it is not easy to do but you could in theory stop the searing...i've never been bothered to stay in the area for that long, you die soo much.

The better idea is not being able to return to pre-searing but to have areas on the outskirts of Ascalon where the green grass yet grows. How a bunch of beastcats destroyed an entire country with a cauldron and some wand waving is a bit of a mystery, but anyhow..... I do think that they should add some places where the seared areas merge nicely into places that look 'pre-seared'. I highly doubt we will see such a thing tho as it probably would interfere with the storyline, but I do hope that in a future expansion they have new areas that look like pre-sear Ascalon and maybe somehow we get to see Ascalon restored and get to see other parts of it that we haven't seen before... at the very least we should be able to give those Charr ba$tards worse than what they gave us. They destroyed my country and that big beautiful waterfall and I want to give them hell for it instead of skulking off to some humid jungle joint..

You know, I almost wonder if the searing spell required alot of sacrifices(as in, alot of Charr killed other Charr or themselves). You'd think that they'd still be doing it otherwise.

I've done it. I had an El and I brought a Warrior and we cleared the place out. technically speaking, we did what those whimps inside the castle were afraid to do. Sure we died alot, but it really wasn't that hard to clear this area.
Everyone go on home... the Searing never happened... it's all been a dream...

I usually let each of my characters "simmer" in pre-Searing by getting them to the point where they can clear out the region with another player. No reward for that though.
I've personally wondered (but never wanted to bother trying this) if it were possible to max out at lvl 16 (or 15? whatever the cap is) by killing the boss monsters repeatedly, and then go back and do all the quests available to level up once more. It'd be a painful experiment to say the least, especially considering you'd have to avoid getting any but perhaps the starting skills just to have a chance.

I would say it is about time Ascalon starts ruturning back to normal with it green trees and grass and the rivers clearing up.This would include the sky as well and seeing some rain would be nice.I guess that will have to wait for further chapter if the game lives that long.

I agree with you Nizzim. I too miss the verdant fields of GWEN.
No seriously, I miss the almost cartoony feel of pre-searing. Everything post is either dead, salty and sandy, cannibus looking, or popsicled, or all 3. :-)

Yeah, maybe after finishing the last mission you get access to an area like Presearing, maybe call it the Elysian Fields (or something similar).
